A104. Would structures be inside domes or out? (A K2S Question)

Structures can be put under domes, but constructing a dome on the lunar surface is a bit of an engineering challenge. A suitably-sized crater has to be found, the foundation has to be laid around its rim, and the material of the dome has to be sufficient to block cosmic rays and solar flares and withstand most impacts—never mind the volume of oxygen and inert gases needed to pressurize the volume. Domes are probably a bit farther ahead in the future than buried modules and underground warrens. Domes will likely be made out of lunar glass bricks, but other materials may come along.
