Newspapers in the United States and England report that the Opel/Valier rocket car attained speeds of 100km/h from a standing start in less than eight seconds. Max Valier informed the press that his next trials would be an unmanned railway car propelled by solid rockets and that his ultimate goal was to propel an aircraft into space.
