The Manchester Evening News reports that the Manchester Interplanetary Society rented a house in Hollingsworth near Glossop. Society President Eric Burgess commented "The building is just what we have been after. Electric light will be installed and a dynamo will be forked by means of a small wind rotor for there is always a strong wind up there. We are hoping to set up an observatory and a meteorological station. We shall soon start digging trenches so that we can fire rockets with more safety."
