Heinz Hermann Koelle gives a lecture on space travel in lecture hall 37 at the Schwäbischen Sternwarte (Stuttgart Observatory). He is allowed to do this under the license granted to the observatory. About 200 people attend. During the evening he asks if anyone would be interested in joining a new society. About 45 people signed up immediately to join what would become a new chapter of the Gesellschaft für Weltraumforschung.
