NASA hailed 1992 as a "blockbuster year" for NASA space science missions, with scientific discoveries ranging from the beginning of time to black holes to the innermost workings of the human cell. "Given the unprecedented return on science information and the robust launch record, 1992 was the most productive year in the history of space science," said Dr. Lennard A. Fisk, Associate Administrator for NASA's Office of Space Science and Applications in Washington, DC. (NASA Release 92-228)
