A meeting of the Board of the American Rocket Society takes place at the Engineer's Club in New York. The meeting is hosted by G. Edward Pendray and attended by John Shesta, James H. Wyld, Lovell Lawrence Jr., Robert H. Goddard and GALCIT members Clark Millikan, Theodore von Karman and Andrew G. Haley. The intention of the meeting was to merge GALCIT with the ARS. However, it was decided to simply have the GALCIT members join the ARS.
