Among 12 scientists named by President Johnson to receive the 1967 National Medal of Science were Edwin H. Land, President of the Polaroid Corp.; Igor I. Sikorsky, former engineering manager of United Aircraft Corp's Sikorsky Aircraft Div.; and George B. Kistiakowsky, Harvard Univ. chemistry professor. Presentations would be made in early 1968.
