The Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, awarded Rockwell International Corporation a five-year extension on the contract for systems integration. The $1.36 billion contract extensions were for flight and ground systems engineering maintenance and safety analysis, including configuration of the hard-ware required for each orbiter flight and Shuttle mission support from countdown to landing.
