U.S.S.R.'s Lunokhod 1 lunar rover completed experiments planned for ninth lunar day on moon's Sea of Rains and was preparing for lunar night, Tass announced. Experiments included stereoscopic photography of crater bed and slopes, chemical analysis of rock, studies of crater 190 m (208 yds) in diameter, and measurements of cosmic radiation. Vehicle had traveled 10.2 km (6.3 mi) over lunar surface since landing on moon Nov. 17, 1970. (FmS-Sov-138-3, 7/20/71, Ll)
