At this date the membership of the Combined British Astronautical Societies stands at 230 people. Spacewards.

President Kenneth Gatland then revealed that he, along with Ralph A. Smith, Arthur C. Clarke, Harold E. Ross, Philip Cleator and Eric Burgess, had been working on the combining of all of the British astronautical societies into one national organization. At this time the BIS membership was down to ten people.
