EGNOS is the European Augmentation of GPS and GLONASS, and when operational will provide high performance navigation data to users such as the airlines. EGNOS contains a distributed ground segment stretching from the eastern shores of North America to Singapore, and from South Africa to Northern Scandinavia. The processing, monitoring and control portions are however located in Europe and for these Science Systems is developing important Monitoring and Control components.
