Newspapers report that the German Ministry of Traffic have granted Hermann Oberth a permit to attempt a rocket launch on November 15th. The rocket is described as being 33 feet long and made of a copper tube. Four carbon rods would be placed inside and surrounded with liquid oxygen and the whole would have steering wings and stabilizers. Oberth is supposed to have said that he expects the rocket to attain an altitude of at least 40 miles. He was then said to have claimed a second rocket would be shot over the Himalayas with a camera on board, before a third would be used to take mail to America.
