The executive editors wish to acknowledge the ISU faculty and ISU-related individuals who contributed content to this book. What began as an idea in 2007 over a decade ago eventually turned into the first edition of The Farthest Shore. Now a full decade later we are issuing a new edition of this book with numerous updates to recognize the many vibrant changes that are rippling through the space industry driven by innovations from the “New Space” innovators.
