The Ashton Reporter newspaper publishes a photograph from March 27th of the Manchester Interplanetary Society's rocket launch gathering. The picture shows schoolboys clustered around "rocketeer" William Heeley who is seen preparing a metal-clad (duralumin) rocket for launch just prior to its explosion.
