Chamber's Journal in England runs a lengthy article by Philip Cleator, future founder of the BIS. In his article Cleator referenced Robert H. Goddard and the German rocket pioneers von Opal and Sanders (sic). After explaining the basic principles of rocketry and Newtonian physics he concluded, "Whether we like or dislike the idea, believe or disbelieve, interplanetary travel will come."
