First annual General meeting of the reformed British Interplanetary Society. Terence R.F. Nonweiler of the Royal Aircraft Establishment delivers paper entitled High Speed Flight. Frank J. Malina, visiting from the American Rocket Society also delivers paper entitled The Problems of Escape from Earth by Rocket. 76 members are present. First post-war chairman Eric Burgess retires the annual council and the following people are nominated for council in the coming year.
