Dr. William R. Graham, NASA's Acting Administrator, affirmed plans to continue NASA's Teacher in Space Program, administered by NASA's Educational Affairs Division under the direction of Robert Brown. The reason given: NASA's continuing goals were to "increase the prestige of the teaching profession, to increase the awareness in the education community of the impact of technology and science on this country's future, and to use space as a catalyst to enhance all subject areas and grade levels of our education systems."
