British Minister of Aviation Roy Jenkins said at a London conference on European cooperation in advanced technology that Britain might seek collaboration with France in developing the vC-10 aircraft into an "air bus" capable of carrying 265 passengers. This move was thought to be precipitated by activities of two American companies, Boeing and Douglas, both of which had approached BOAC with their versions of an air bus. Seven French girls ended a 15-day isolation experiment in a cave 360 ft. below the surface. They were apparently in good condition but said they had lost their sense of time within the first 24 hrs. The experiment ended nearly a day before it should have according to their reckoning. (Reuters, NYT, 7/6/65, 24; UPI, N.Y. Her. Trib, 7/6/65)
