October 10-12: Flat Conductor Symposium was held at Marshall Space Flight Center to exchange information on flat conductor cables and promote their wider use in commerce and industry and building trades. Cables were thin, parallel, metal conductors, embedded in plastics or other insulating materials. New fabricating methods had produced cable for conducting electricity that was ribbon-thin and backed with adhesives which adhered to wall surfaces. Cables required little space and were easily folded to conform to unusual shapes or patterns. (Marshall Star, 10/11/72, 1)
