Combined airlock module (AM) and multiple docking adapter (MDA) for 1973 Skylab space station were turned over to NASA at McDonnell Douglas facility in St. Louis and flown to Kennedy Space Center aboard Super Guppy aircraft. With arrival of shipment, weighing 28 000 kg (62 000 lbs), all major Skylab elements had been delivered to KSC. (MSFC Release 72-129; NASA Special Release; KSC PAO)

Senate unanimously approved ratification of Convention on International Liability for Damage Caused by Space Objects. (CR, 10/6/72, S17097-17100, 17165)

U.S. and U.S.S.R. signed protocol in Moscow calling for exchange of experience in planning, construction, and operation of electric power stations. Protocol also called for exchange of data on electric power trans-mission, magnetohydrodynamics, and use of solar and geothermal energy. (Tass, FBIS-Sov, 10/10/72, G4)

President Nixon announced appointments to General Advisory Committee to Atomic Energy Commission: National Bureau of Standards physicist Dr. Evans V. Hayward; Stanford Univ. physicist Dr. Hubert Heffner; Dr. Michael M. May, Director of Lawrence Radiation Laboratory of Univ. of California at Livermore; and physicist Dr. Walter H.
