Can a sustainable orbital space tourism business be set up in the near future, based on the next generation of reusable launch vehicles? Using two recent reusable launch vehicle concepts, this paper presents the results of a cost estimate exercise focussing on this question. It looks at the potential ticket prices and indicates the main challenges, considerations and possibilities for a near-future space tourism business based on reusable launch vehicles.
