Representatives of the BIS and CBAS meet in London and vote unanimously to formally combine the two groups under the name British Interplanetary Society. In attendance are Ralph A. Smith, Leslie J. Carter, Harold E. Ross, A. V. Cleaver, R.C.G. Slazenger, G. Brosnan, L. Gilbert, Doreen Hope Burgess and Eric Burgess.
