Interagency Committee on Back Contamination notified NASA that Apollo 12 lunar samples and Surveyor parts could be released from LRL quarantine to principal investigators. (MSC Release 70-7)

MSC announced NASA had awarded United Aircraft Corp. Hamilton Standard Div. $5461 203 contract supplement for changes in Apollo portable-life-support-system (PLSS) contract. Agreement formally incorporated changes permitting PLSS to accept an improved communications system supplied by NASA. MSC Release 70-6)
